Utility Operator Job Description
Overview
The Utility Operator works with various types of utility operations, such as water piping, wastewater plants, electrical cabling or manufacturing equipment. Their role is to install, maintain and repair utility equpiment. Their responsibilities are to operate stills, compressors, reactors and related chemical process equipment during rest periods, perform tasks such as assisting the operator in turning valves to control the flow of materials, gauge tank levels, and recharge equipment with fresh catalytic agents.
