A software quality assurance engineer monitors the software engineering process to ensure the quality of the software. Software quality assurance engineers are involved throughout the entire software development process - requirements engineering, software design, coding, code reviews, source code control, software configuration management, testing, release management and software integration. They plan and implement strategies for quality management and testing, and develop and execute experimental and automated tests or scenarios to ensure product quality.
