Procurement Manager Job Description
Overview

The Procurement Manager maintains a company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain. Their role is consulting with vendors and suppliers to acquire the most cost effective deals in order to reduce procurement expenses. Their responsibilities are building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers, sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors, approving purchase orders, performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements, organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services, controlling the procurement budget, preparing procurement reports, and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
