Portfolio Manager Job Description

A Portfolio Manager creates and maintains investment allocations for private clients. Their role is to determine a client's appropriate level of risk based on the client's time horizon, risk preferences, return expectations, and market conditions. Their responsibilities are to direct all trades of the investment fund or portfolio, meet with analysts who have researched various securities and the institutions that issued them, analyze the background of the client, understand an individual’s earnings and capacity to invest, and recognize the financial needs and requirements of clients.
