Media Relations Manager Job Description
Overview
A Media Relations Manager researches and writes briefing materials in order to explain public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly. Their role is to plan and oversee press events, act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the company, and address questions and complaints. Their responsibilities are to optimize communication systems to enhance their accuracy, gather and disseminate timely information to the press and staff, manage the flow of news about the organization to the media, and prepare articles and press releases for the media.
