Legislative Director Job Description
Overview
A Legislative Director drafts action plans to advance legislative issues under an executive director's consultation. Their role is to identify federal issues, coordinate with state agency staff, and prepare legislative testimonies. Their responsibilities are to perform legislative committee meetings, consult with the committee president at regular intervals, hire and train legislative committee members, and represent their agency at conferences, hearings and meetings.
