A Lab Assistant helps technologists and scientists during lab tests and research. Their role is processing samples, classifying results, and recording findings. Their responsibilities are to prepare samples for testing, maintain all laboratory records, comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations, conduct laboratory tests, analyze results and document findings, clean and sterilize equipment and work areas, stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques and best practices, document all activities and results, collect and prepare research and information needed for studies, classify and label samples, and undertake basic managerial tasks.
