The Insurance Underwriter works closely with insurance agents and with actuaries to evaluate research and undertake a client’s risk. Their role is to analyze applicant data and assess an applicant's risk. Their responsibilities are to operate underwriting software, evaluate software-based recommendations, research applicants as necessary, decide whether or not to offer insurance, and determine coverage and premiums.
