Hydrogeologist Job Description

The Hydrogeologist specializes in the study of groundwater. Their role is to monitor and analyze the movement, distribution and quality of water below the earth’s surface in an attempt to maintain, conserve and manage it. Their responsibilities are to spend a large part of their time in the field collecting data on all kinds of hydrogeological properties, organize the drilling of boreholes, use less invasive techniques and equipment to collect data, and spend time analyzing, evaluating and unraveling the data that they have collected.
