A Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is a technical sales specialist who works with customers to develop and implement solutions for their specific needs. FAEs typically work in the field, often visiting customer sites, performing product demonstrations and providing technical support during installation, operation and maintenance of products. They also provide pre-sales engineering support to assist customers in selecting appropriate products or services that meet their needs. Additionally, they can be involved in post-sale activities such as training customers on how to properly use the product/service or troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
