Electrician Apprentice Job Description
Overview

An electrician apprentice is responsible for learning the trade of electrical work under the guidance of a licensed or experienced journeyman. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining wiring systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Apprentices must follow safety protocols at all times to avoid accidents on the job site. They will also learn how to read blueprints, identify different types of wire and cable, calculate load capacities for circuits, troubleshoot problems with existing electrical systems and understand local building codes.
