Drill Operator Job Description
Overview
A Driller receives instructions for drilling parameters and ensures their correct application. Their role is to check and set up the equipment necessary for the assigned shift, operate the draw work during drilling activities and complex maneuvers, and ensure that all reporting routines are followed. Their responsibilities are to assist with rig down and rig up operations, draft dimensioned drawings of the equipment run in the well, complete a daily drilling report for the activities performed, and ensure that subordinates use compulsory protective equipment.
