The Distribution Manager assists in inventory management activities like receiving, storing, rotating and handling supplies in the distribution center. Their role is to develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality, and plan and schedule deliveries to meet customer needs. Their responsibilities are to perform cost negotiations with vendors, provide appropriate solutions for bulk distributions, work with warehouse and transportation staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, develop distribution budgets, manage expenses within the stores, and follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
