Customer Service Supervisor Job Description
Overview
The Customer Service Supervisor trains and mentors employees on how to deliver the best customer service possible. Their role is finding solutions to customers problems while communicating over phone, email or chat, and hiring, training and terminating service agents. Their responsibilities are to provide scripts to read from during phone calls, handle events that are escalated by agents, resolve complaints and order issues, ask customers to provide feedback on agents and customer services, approve requests for refunds to customers, oversee the exchange and return of products, analyze data and statistics, and produce reports on overall customer satisfaction.

- It's not usually a strict requirement but having a bachelor's degree is advantageous for future career growth. At least consider taking courses in business management, customer service, communication, and leadership to grow your knowledge base.

I really really feel that customer service and member success is such a vital part of the backbone of companies and when those teams are successful you see entire companies thrive.
Responsibilities:
I support a team that is supporting our members which means I'm still getting to do like the member success thing but my members are my team so my goal is to ensure that my team is happy and feel supported so that they can turn around and make sure our members feel happy and supported
Perks of Customer Service:
One of the wonderful things about customer service is it really can be done anywhere. If you have a computer and you have internet connection you can support people and I really really love that flexibility not just for me but for my team.
Career Requirements:
Being amazing at customer service is absolutely paramount to being successful in this role and that's not enough. You have to really really be passionate about the people behind what you're doing whether those are customers or it's your team or it's folks within the rest of the organization.
Management Tip:
As the manager it's your job to match your managerial style to what they need and that may mean you manage in two, three, twelve, fifteen different managerial styles but that's going to help number one create the best work experience for your team and number two that's going to make everything just run a little bit smoother.
