Conservation Technician Job Description

A Conservation Technician collects data by measuring land formations, taking samples of water, and monitoring wildlife for disease. Their role is to work outdoors and gather data regarding various environmental factors. Their responsibilities are to identify property lines, determine areas that may pose a fire hazard, review forest areas to determine the tree species, quailty and amount of timber, coordinate with other conservation professionals, make maps of the area, and keep a record of public and commercial movement within their jurisdiction.
