The Clinical Intern participates in the daily activities of the medical and surgical teams. Their role is to conduct preliminary examinations, admit out-patients, and make patient rounds. Their responsibilities are to provides assistance in the instruction and supervision of students, perform special diagnostic procedures, assist with routine and advanced surgical procedures on clinic patients, participate in staff and student-oriented medical and anesthesia rounds, review cases of patients with special problems and prepare case reports, and interpret micrographs.

- Usually in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field within the healthcare domain.
- Work in a clinical setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility, to gain hands-on experience in patient care. There are often specific training paths for these roles so do the research for your specific role.
- While not always necessary, obtaining a master's degree in a related field can enhance your qualifications and open up more advanced managerial positions. Consider pursuing certifications, such as the Certified Healthcare Manager (CHM) or Certified Medical Manager (CMM), to further demonstrate your expertise.
Requirements For Role:
Job requirements for being a nurse coordinator is that you have to have experience as a nurse, as a charge nurse. You have to have acute care experience.
Career Background:
I have a background in acute care and long-term care for pediatric oncology patients. I have a background in forensics for sexual assault victims and gender-based violence.
Clinical Operations Responsibilities:
Some of the clinical operations that we do on a daily basis is that you're responsible for daily clinical staff activities relating to patient care. You have to ensure proper staffing, ensure safety of the team and our patients. I oversee service delivery and productivity and what this means is that sometimes I have to case manage patients and their particular needs and this is very important when it comes to our homeless population because they have special needs.
Working With Homeless Patients:
We've worked with homeless patients. If you are a nurse, if you want to be out in the field at encampments, that's what it takes.
