Cardiovascular Technologist Job Description
Overview
The Cardiovascular Technologist helps doctors diagnose and treat patients who are suspected of having cardiac and vascular disease. Their role is to monitor and treat problems with the heart and blood flow abnormalities. Their responsibilities are to use non-invasive procedures to take images of the the heart and valves, insert probes like catheters into patient's bodies, assist the physician in performing invasive procedures, and perform related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging techniques to demonstrate catheter location and position.
