Cable Technician Job Description

A Cable Technician installs, maintains and repairs cable infrastructure. Their role is troubleshooting issues with the cable network, installing televisions, routers and internet technology devices, performing maintenance on existing cabling systems, and testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications. Their responsibilities are completing paperwork, ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations, repairing cable poles and towers, installing cable support structures, and identifying and removing redundant cabling.
