Their responsibilities are building rapport with customers and vendors, monitoring customer feedback and escalating complaints, creating a website and social media content to drive brand awareness and attract new customers, tracking customer preferences, metrics and media campaigns, representing the company at product launches, events and trade shows, and maintaining a positive image of the brand at all times.
Steps for how to get into the field. Work your way to BRAND AMBASSADOR or a job like it:
It’s beneficial to find a brand that you resonate with. This will make promoting your product easier and more organic. Research specific brands for an area of interest that aligns with you.
There are certain personality types that match well like being outgoing, personable, naturally likable but you can build skills to overcome this if that’s not your natural self. Developing a strong work ethic and being reliable are more important.
You likely will often work outside the traditional 8-5, Monday through Friday schedule as events will often happen on weekends and at night. You will be both a participant and host for events, so being a good planner/organizer with good communication skills is also key.
To represent a brand employers will be as interested in how your image represents the brand as your prior experience. Make sure your resume connects you to the brand and not just your experience to the type of work
