Behavior Interventionist Job Description
Overview
A Behavior Interventionist is a professional who specializes in helping people with behavioral issues. They work closely with individuals, families and teams to create behavior plans that focus on positive reinforcement and address challenging behaviors. The role of the Behavior Interventionist includes assessments, developing individualized behavior plans, monitoring progress, providing direct interventions/therapies and training caregivers in effective strategies for working with their loved one. The ultimate goal is to help clients develop appropriate social skills, increase independence and improve overall quality of life.
