The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the country tackling some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Throughout your internship with a partner organization, Stand Together Fellowships hosts virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1-5 pm ET, wherein you will be mentored by seasoned professionals as you craft a capstone project on the topic that matters most to you. Interns will receive either a $5,500 or $3,300 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (28 hours/week). Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to apply in advance!
About us
Engine Foundation (Engine) is seeking a Policy Fellow for the Spring of 2025. Engine is a D.C.-based non-profit advocacy organization that works to promote policies that encourage the growth of startup ecosystems. We focus on issues at both the local and federal level that impact startups and their ability to scale nationwide and globally.
These issues include: Access to talent (high skilled immigration and STEM education); Access to capital (tax and capital formation); International Trade;Data security and privacy; and Strong intermediary liability protections (free speech, sensible copyright policies, reduced regulatory burdens on intermediaries).

We are looking for a KIP participant to help with our policy advocacy and grassroots work in Washington, D.C. Your work would include engaging and substantive tasks such as:
Coordinate and carryout grassroots startup outreach;Writing articles and blog posts on policy issues; Helping with larger research projects; Attend events that are relevant to our D.C. outreach; andMonitor legislative and regulatory developments.
As of this posting, Engine is currently a hybrid work environment.
