Job Description Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Student Research Assistants, working for about 10 hours per week with Dr. Zhen Cong, Professor of the Department of Health Sciences, on various tasks related to ongoing research projects. Dr. Cong’s research examines vulnerability, resilience, and disparities related to disasters and more generally climate change, with a focus on older adults and intersectional vulnerabilities with a convergent perspective. Her research focuses on critical equity-related problems such as access and response to warnings, mitigation, the recovery process, and disparities in health consequences in the context of disasters. Dr. Zhen Cong has led multiple interdisciplinary teams and conducted a series of theory-based and data-driven research projects, including theory development, longitudinal data collection, data integration, and multilevel and system analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students to gain hands-on experience in disaster resilience, health sciences, gerontology, and social behavioral research, and develop skills that will benefit their academic and professional careers.

Responsibilities
Conduct literature reviews and summarize relevant research findings. Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and academic papers. Assist with data collection, analysis, and organization. Other duties as assigned by Dr. Zhen Cong.
